Our History
In 1976, aged 17, Ignazio Floris bid farewell to his family and friends in his home town of Villasimius, Sardinia.
On arrival in Leeds, he soon found a job in Italian Restaurant in the city, before being transferred to another restaurant in York, only six months later. Ignazio then worked in Bibi’s York for the following eight years where he gained the Head Chef status.
On 11th October 1984, after a year of solid construction work, Florios Ristorante was open for business!
